Chang'an Automobile is a Chinese automaker headquartered in Chongqing, China, and is a state-owned enterprise.
Its main activity is the production of passenger cars, minibuses, commercial trucks and light trucks. Changan designs, develops, manufactures and sells passenger cars with joint ventures with Ford (Changan Ford), PSA Group (Changan PSA), Mazda (Changan Mazda), and Suzuki (Changan Suzuki).
Changan is one of China's most important automakers (along with SAIC Motors, FAW Group and Dongfeng Motor Company). In 2016, 3 million units were manufactured, and the company ranked fourth among Chinese automakers by production volume.
