Hyundai Motor Company, often abbreviated to Hyundai Motors (Korean: 현대자동차; Hanja: 現代自動車; RR: Hyeondae Jadongcha audio speaker iconlisten) and commonly known as Hyundai (Korean: 현대; Hanja: 現代; RR: Hyeondae, IPA: [ˈhjəːndɛ];[a] lit. 'modernity'), is a South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967. 
Currently, the company owns 33.88 percent of Kia Corporation,[5] and also fully owns two marques including its luxury cars subsidiary, Genesis Motor, and an electric vehicle sub-brand, Ioniq.

Hyundai operates the world's largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility in Ulsan, South Korea which has an annual production capacity of 1.6 million units.
